Like the larger models, these engines take advantage of Yamaha’s very latest 4-stroke technology. They too feature a 16-valve, DOHC (Dual Overhead Camshaft) engine, with its advanced intake and exhaust systems and Yamaha's unique multi-point EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection). The system incorporates a micro-computer that analyses and adjusts the fuel/air mixture to match all running conditions and like all EFI engines from 2007 onwards, they are fitted with a connector port for the leading edge Yamaha network system, with its sophisticated range of Digital Network Gauges.
